“Vortex” is Back!

I would like to apologize for going on hiatus when my work was needed the most.  I have had a number of personal issues that required my time.  I also had the misfortune of having my computer break down at the most inopportune time.

The “Vortex of Freedom” Radio Show will be returning this Saturday at its new temporary time – 10:00PM Eastern.  I had an impromptu show last night on BlogTalk radio.

The 2008 Elections – Pardon Me While I Puke

I will give my insight to the 2008 elections and offer hard evidence into why America was duped once again by both parties and the corporate media.

A Case for Bob Barr

If you take advantage of the tag surfer on WordPress like I do, you will see two things:  People telling you to vote for Barack Obama because he is not John McCain and people telling you to vote for John McCain because he is not Barack Obama.  Bob Barr is not McCain or Obama, but that is NOT why you should vote for him:

Vote for Bob Barr because he understands the ramifications of the patRIOT Act.  It is true that he voted for it, but it was him that added the sunset clause in the bill and he will fight to repeal the Patriot Act because he sees it for what it is:  an intrusion on Americans’ privacy.

Vote for Bob Barr because he is more frugal with our money than either McCain or Obama.  John McCain has admitted that the economy isn’t his strong point and Obama proves it when he speaks.  Barr is fiscally conservative and is best qualified to balance the budget.

Vote for Bob Barr because he is the candidate most concerned with the issues that matter most.  While McCain and Obama bicker over the gas tax, Bob Barr is talking about cutting spending and government growth.

Vote for Bob Barr because of his pro-second amendment voting record and his unwavering support of gun owners’ rights.

We have two choices on Election Day.  The two choices are not McCain or Obama.  The two choices are Liberty and Tyranny.  Vote for Liberty.  Vote Libertarian.  Vote for Bob Barr.

The LP’s Exposure Problem

The Libertarian Party has selected Bob Barr as the presidential nominee.  Bob Barr has experienc in Washington and knows how to handle the media.  But does he know how to handle the lack of media?

The threshold of being included in presidential debates is 15% in various polls.  Bob Barr wasn’t reaching 15% when he was included in polls.  Many polls in the last week have not included Barr.  Obama is leading in the polls by an average of 47-44%.  That  leaves 9% for “other” and undecided.  Even if Barr were to receive all of the “other” votes and was somehow able to get all of the undecided votes, it will not get him in the debates.

The first step we have to do is to expose the Democrats and Republicans for what they are and for what they have done.  BOTH have raised the federal debt with out-of-control spending!  BOTH are responsible for the dumbing down of the American education system.  BOTH are responsble for prison overpopulation by writing draconian laws that emprision people who cause no harm to others.  and NEITHER party is talking about the chaos that is the Social Security system and the $53 trillion in unfunded obligations that will have to be paid out.

I have had enough of both parties.  Our candidates have to drive the point home that the Democrats and Republicans are not talking the real issues and bring about a viable plan to fix what has been broken for so long.
